Fodil Selmouni, a French Canadian who came to Hangzhou in 2016 and now teaches English at the Tourism College of Zhejiang, recently paid a visit to the Jieshou Sports Centre Velodrome in Chun'an county, the venue for track cycling events of the 19th Asian Games.

Dubbed "A pearl nestled by the Qiandao Lake", the brand-new velodrome was especially designed for the Asian Games and symbolizes the spirit of striving to make progress.

"I am impressed by how well the venue blends with the surrounding landscape. It's a wonderful combination of nature and urbanization," Selmouni said.

He also visited the Chun'an Satellite Village of the Asian Games, where he explored the athlete's rooms. Every detail has been carefully considered to make them feel at home.

"If I had the opportunity, I would like to spend a few days in Chun'an," Selmouni said.
