Consul General Deny Wachyudi Kurnia said he hopes Hangzhou will see continuous economic benefits from the Games.
"As the host of the last Asian Games, Indonesia has enjoyed economic gains from the event, along with a significant improvement in infrastructure in the two host cities," Kurnia said. "The changes that the Games will bring to Hangzhou will be momentous and I sincerely hope that during the Games, the souvenirs sold and items used in Hangzhou will be made in Indonesia."
"Hangzhou is making efforts to improve its urban transportation system and expand its airport to provide better public services for the public and make full preparations for hosting a green and smart Asian Games. I'm confident that the Games will leave a lasting impact on the city and its people, and that the use of venues and sports promotion will continue even after the Games are over," Kurnia added.
