"Since the founding of the team, the members have been conducting research on cutting-edge and fundamental issues in the field of supercomputing. Their goal is to develop a world-class intelligent supercomputing innovation center," said Zhao Zhifeng, chief engineer of the Zhejiang Laboratory.
Among the 23 team members, 20 are under the age of 35, with the youngest being just 25 years old.
"Though young, the team members want to pack back to China with scientific research achievements. They are bold, enterprising, and self-motivated," said Qin Yi, an engineering expert at the lab.
"Winning the prize is not the end and we will continue to focus on high-performance computing applications," said Hu Yayun, who was born in the 1990s and is the leader of the team. "It is bound to be a difficult and bumpy road in the technological 'no man's land', but we believe it is a road full of hope and dreams."
