Hangzhou in East China's Zhejiang province held a city orienteering event in Shangcheng, Gongshu, Xihu and Qiantang districts on June 25 to celebrate the 19th Asian Games, local media outlets reported.

The family-oriented event saw families consisting of over 3,000 people participate. They enjoyed a variety of sports, experienced the joy that comes with working together, made some happy family memories, and created a friendlier social environment for children.

Participants took a bite of the cultural treasures of the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279) in Shangcheng district, immersed themselves in the picturesque landscapes of West Lake in Xihu district, delved into the time-honored culture along the Grand Canal in Gongshu district, and jogged through a variety of Asian Games sporting venues in Qiantang district.

"The orienteering not only reflected the healthy and energetic lifestyles of Hangzhou residents, but also demonstrated the city's environment, culture, and economic achievements," said a participant of the activity.
