The 2022 Global Cross-border E-commerce Summit was held in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, on July 28-29, local media outlets reported.

The summit's main forum on the digitalization of the real economy and trade, focuses on the new trade ecology activated by cross-border e-commerce and the dual-circulation development pattern, which focuses on the domestic market and lets domestic and foreign markets reinforce each other.

The summit also featured five sub-forums on topics like innovation and development, direct-to-consumer brand building, overseas brand promotion, cross-border e-commerce investment and financing, and cross-border e-commerce talent.

Due to the forum's diverse array of topics, directors from many Hangzhou-based international platforms and brands, including Alibaba, Topsun, Suncha Technology, and Everich Tomic, attended and shared their views.

The summit was sponsored by the Hangzhou municipal government and Zhejiang Provincial Department of Commerce and organized by the China (Hangzhou) Cross-border E-commerce Comprehensive Pilot Area, Shangcheng district government, and Zhejiang E-commerce Promotion Center.

As the first city approved by the central government to establish a cross-border e-commerce comprehensive pilot zone, Hangzhou is sparing no effort to build a world-class cross-border e-commerce demonstration center by focusing on industrial ecology, enabling free trade through digital measures, and driving forward digitalized industrial development.
