Binjiang district in Hangzhou launched guidelines regarding the integration of the innovation and industrial chains during a meeting on Aug 2.

Zhang Dengfeng, Party secretary of Binjiang, said the district will focus on scientific research and introduce more skilled workers.

According to the guidelines, Binjiang will set aside more than 300 million yuan ($44.43 million) each year to promote industries including internet of things, biological medicine, high-end equipment, new materials, and environmental protection.

Binjiang will also develop 10 sub-industrial chains and nurture 20 manufacturing companies, while striving to become the top digital economy district in Hangzhou, according to the guidelines.
