In pursuit of common prosperity, Hangzhou in East China's Zhejiang province has been establishing future residential communities, future rural areas and urban-and-rural landscape demonstration areas to meet the people's ever-growing demand for a better life.

Statistics show that among Hangzhou's completed projects, 11 of the 152 future residential communities, five of the 85 future rural areas, and three of the 37 urban-and-rural landscape demonstration areas were approved by the provincial government and have been named model projects.

The projects also impressed visitors from neighboring cities on Aug 23 and taught them about Hangzhou's efforts to achieve common prosperity.

For example, at the reception hall of Binfen Future Residential Community in Binjiang district, visitors were impressed by a busy scene of senior citizens queuing up for free clinical services at the outpatient area, children learning about Song Dynasty (960-1279) style tea art at the cultural center, and others reading or working with computers at the library.
