An exhibition displaying over 100 urban and architectural works designed by artists from Hong Kong, Hangzhou and overseas is now on at the OōEli commercial complex in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.

The exhibition will last until Sept 10. It was also a celebration of the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Featuring innovative gadgets, immersive experiences, and multimedia displays, the exhibition showcases Hong Kong's development into a global metropolis, trying to bring out the idea of the city's past, present and future intertwining and influencing each other.

The exhibition also reflects the thinking of architects from Hong Kong and Hangzhou on cities and architecture and explores how architectural design can thread together city, tradition, culture and future in the process of urbanization and globalization.

A variety of Hangzhou cultural elements were included in the exhibition, such as 33 landmark buildings over the past 66 years, including railway stations, commercial complexes, schools, office buildings, museums, hotels, and sporting venues for the 2022 Hangzhou Asian Games.

A photo exhibition titled Dialogues between Hangzhou and Hong Kong also opened to the public during the same period. Four academic seminars centering on urban renewal, sustainability, harmonious coexistence, and common prosperity will also be held, offering an exchange and learning channel for young architectural talent from the two sides.

The exhibition will also tour Beijing, New York and Hong Kong in the near future.
