The 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022, which is scheduled to be held from Sept 23 to Oct 8, 2023, had attracted a record 145 sponsors as of Oct 20, local media outlets reported.

The 4th Asian Para Games, which will also be held in the city a few days later from Oct 22 to 28, 2023, also made history by being sponsored by 114 enterprises.

According to the organizing committee, the Games have strict sponsorship classifications such as official prestige partners, sponsors, exclusive suppliers, and suppliers.

The Games have named 10 official prestige partners, including Geely Auto, Alibaba Group, Alipay, Loong Airlines, DAS-Security, China Telecom, China Mobile, Industrial and Commercial Bank of China, and China Pacific Insurance, of which the first five are based in Zhejiang province.

Moreover, two of the four official sponsors, namely Wahaha and HikVision, as well as two of the 13 official exclusive suppliers, Robam and Aux, are leading private enterprises in Zhejiang.

Statistics show that as of February, the Asian Games and Asian Para Games had earned nearly 4 billion yuan ($549.2 million) in sponsorship deals. The figure is expected to reach a historical high as there is almost one year left until the events.
