A group of overseas students from Zhejiang University of Science and Technology recently visited the countryside in Fuyang district, Hangzhou to explore the fruits of rural vitalization.

The students are from countries such as Russia, South Korea, Morocco, Tanzania, and Guinea.

The students visited Xindeng town and its subordinate Shuangjiang and Shangshan villages to experience the rich historical and cultural heritage and the beautiful rural scenery of the ancient town up close.

In the habitat of She ethnic minorities in Shuangjiang village, the students tasted the black rice and red yeast rice wine made by the villagers and learned about the production processes. They also watched and learned the characteristic bamboo pole dance, experiencing the unique culture of the She minority.

Xu Dongwu, Party secretary of the village, introduced the students to the stories of the She people uniting together, promoting characteristic industries, and chasing after common prosperity.

Russian girl Samigullina Evelina said after experiencing the culture of the She people: "The village inherits the culture of the She minority and develops the rural economy at the same time."

“The illage actively implements the garbage sorting reward system. The practice of publishing the garbage sorting evaluation results on the red and black lists on the village bulletin board reflects the village committee's intentions for the village's environmental governance," said Hachmaoui Hamza from Morocco.
