Ink artist Wen Wei is showing her paintings and calligraphic pieces at the Xianghu Future School, located in the scenic Xianghu zone, in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province.
She says the exhibition has fulfilled one of her longtime dreams to hold an exhibition at school to promote to children traditional culture and the true spirit of China.
A seasoned practitioner in the realm of Chinese ink art, Wen has also attained literary accumulations, reading classic poems and texts by which she believes will render more depth to her work.
School headmaster Ye Cuiwei says the exhibition is also a good way for students to understand the beauty of Chinese art, and also inspires the teaching faculty to integrate the education of beauty and happiness into their daily curriculum. The exhibition ends on Friday.
