One year after the Asian Games Football Dream School project kicked off in Malaysia on Dec 20, 2021, it has drawn to a successful end by subsidizing 100 schools in the Southeast Asian country.

The public welfare project was jointly launched by the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee and the Education Association Between Malaysia and China.

The Asian Games Football Dream School project was the first and largest public welfare project launched by the Hangzhou Asian Games. Since its initiation in December 2018, the project has benefited 1,928 schools from over 2,500 applicants across the continent.

The project aims to realize the football dreams of selected schools by providing equipment, training and related programs and activities. It also tried to promote the development of campus football in various Asian countries and regions, such as the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates.

Professionals such as Chinese Women's Football Team member Wang Shuang and former national football player Liu Cheng have devoted themselves to the project, not only boosting the integrated development of youth sports and education, but also promoting the exchange and integration of Asia through football.
