Enterprises are also taking advantage of digital measures to improve their efficiency and lower costs.

"The customs has instructed us to set up digital bonded warehouses. It only takes 15 minutes for imported materials to complete customs clearance procedures and be put into production. The supply chains can be run 24-7 and we can also save about 6 million yuan per year in customs declaration fees," said Zhu Jiantang, vice-president of Dahua Technology.

As 2022 marks the first year of the implementation of the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership agreement, Hangzhou enterprises benefited from the reduction of tax fees and witnessed a 16.6 percent growth in exports to RCEP member countries.

"The tax rate on our non-woven fabrics exported to Japan has been reduced from 4.3 percent to 3.5 percent," said Ye Guohua, deputy general manager of Xiaoshan Phoenix Textile Co.  "The seemingly humble 0.8 percentage point is very helpful for us in improving our price competitiveness."

Last year, Phoenix Textiles obtained 45 RCEP certificates of origin, involving 10.53 million yuan in goods.

Statistics show that in 2022, Qianjiang Customs issued 15,900 RCEP certificates of origin, helping foreign trade enterprises enjoy benefits of more than 40 million yuan.
