The Hangzhou Asian Para Games marked the 200-day countdown to the event in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, on April 3, local media outlets reported.

The sporting event, which is scheduled to take place from Oct 22 to 28, will see delegations from 45 countries and regions in Asia, with approximately 9,000 attendees including 3,800 athletes, 1,500 officials, coaches and support staff, 1,600 technical officials, and 3,000 media reporters and broadcasters.

A total of 22 major events and 564 supporting events have been confirmed for the Games, which will be held at a total of 19 competition venues, including 17 used for the Asian Games and two additional venues, the Tangqi Blind Goalball Base and Hangzhou Wenli School.

At present, all venues for the Para Games have been adapted to meet the needs of athletes, VIPs, media, and spectators, ensuring that they can access all areas of the venues without any barriers and have a positive experience.

A special campaign on behalf of autistic children was also initiated at the ceremony, as a day earlier marked the 16th World Autism Awareness Day.

The top 10 disabled singers in Zhejiang province also performed Asian Games and Asian Para Games promotional songs, using their voices to ignite the audience's enthusiasm.
