Flocks of egrets were seen perching, foraging and dancing among the beautiful scenery of Qiandao Lake in Chun'an county, Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on April 5, showing a harmonious coexistence between humans and nature.

Every spring and summer, large numbers of egrets, a nationally-protected second-class bird, come to Qiandao Lake to breed and settle.

Egrets are known for their natural beauty, slender bodies, long legs and necks, and pure white feathers that cover their entire bodies. They move gracefully, making them appear as white fairies living in the Qiandao Lake area.

The stunning sight of egrets in their natural habitat is a result of conservation efforts by local authorities and people to preserve the lake's environment. Qiandao Lake has been praised for its crystal-clear waters and beautiful scenery, attracting not only egrets but also many other birds and wildlife.
