Hangzhou, Sri Lankan students engage in friendly exchange

Students from Hangzhou and Sri Lanka connected through video link for a friendly exchange activity on May 19, local media outlets reported.

Students from Hangzhou Xiayan Elementary School sang Waiting for You, the theme song of the upcoming Hangzhou Asian Games, to extend a warm invitation to their friends at Sanghamitta Balika Vidyalaya, a Buddhist girls' school in Galle, Sri Lanka.

The virtual exchange between the two schools provided an opportunity for students from different cultures to connect, learn from each other, and foster friendship. Through the video link, students engaged in interactive activities, including sharing their daily lives, discussing their favorite sports, and showcasing their talents.

The Chinese students were thrilled to have the chance to introduce their city and the Asian Games to their Sri Lankan counterparts, expressing their anticipation and excitement for the international sporting event.

The girl's school students were equally enthusiastic and reciprocated the warm invitation from their friends in Hangzhou. They shared their traditional dances and music, providing a glimpse into their vibrant culture.

The exchange allowed the two sides to embrace diversity, promote cultural understanding, and strengthen the bonds of friendship between the two schools.
