CICAF 2023 concludes with much excitement and $200m in proposed deals

The 19th China International Cartoon & Animation Festival came to a close in Hangzhou on June 24, leaving behind a trail of business ventures valued at over 1.4 billion yuan ($206.8 million).
Spanning five days, the festival brought together passionate fans and industry insiders both online and onsite, establishing itself as China's ultimate animation gathering. With a lineup of more than 100 activities, including exhibitions, forums, contests, commercial events, and themed gatherings, CICAF offered an unforgettable experience for attendees.
The festival attracted an impressive turnout this year, with over 2,300 exhibitors and professionals from both domestic and international backgrounds. In addition, 567 enterprises and organizations hailing from 67 countries and regions eagerly participated in the event.
Moreover, this year's festival, widely celebrated for its incorporation of China-chic elements, garnered approximately 10.8 million online and onsite visits. Such remarkable numbers attest to the festival's immense popularity and the enduring allure of the animation industry.
Throughout the event, the bustling atmosphere was palpable, as industry leaders and enthusiasts alike convened to explore new business opportunities, forge connections, and celebrate the creative world of cartoons and animation.
