July 12 marks the 11th National Low Carbon Day, and East China's Zhejiang province launched a digital management platform the day before, aiming to help the upcoming Asian Games achieve carbon neutrality by seeking coordination between pollution reduction and carbon emission.

The platform showcases the achievements in digital carbon neutrality management, coordinated pollution reduction and carbon emission, diversified carbon offsetting, and broad public participation.

Furthermore, the platform applies digital technology for the first time to the entire process of carbon emission data collection, calculation, reduction, cancellation, and evaluation. With six cities, 13 sectors, and two major carbon emission reduction categories, it offers traceability, accepts queries, and allows for dynamic updates of carbon emission data throughout the process.

The launch was part of Zhejiang province's 2023 National Low Carbon Day event, which took place at the Hangzhou Low Carbon Science and Technology Museum.

The organizers offset the carbon dioxide emissions generated by the event through corporate donations, achieving the carbon neutrality goal.

Zhejiang's commitment to carbon neutrality and its efforts to digitalize carbon management are essential steps in the global fight against climate change. By promoting green and low-carbon development, Zhejiang aims to create a lasting legacy of environmental consciousness and inspire others to take action in preserving the planet for future generations.
