July 14 marks the start of the 100-day countdown to the Hangzhou Asian Para Games, and a variety of celebrations are being held in the city in celebration, local media outlets reported.

The emblem and torch of the Para Games are a highlight of this year's celebrations, which by following the style of the Asian Games, reflects the principle of "Two Games, Equally Splendid."

The emblem of the Para Games is named "Ever Forward," and its main graphic depicts a disabled athlete in a wheelchair moving forward bravely. Lines of varying lengths extend in a semicircular shape towards the distance, forming both the symbol of the Para Games' competition track and resembling the surging Qiantang River, echoing the emblem of the Asian Games, "Tides Surging."

The design concept of the torch, named "Laurels," is derived from jade cong of the 5,000-year-old Liangzhu civilization, and Osmanthus, the city flower of Hangzhou. The upper part of the torch adopts the main color of "Laurel Gold," while the top pattern features the Osmanthus flowers. The lower part of the torch uses the main image color of the Hangzhou Asian Games and Asian Para Games, "Rainbow Purple," with dozens of technological lines extending, symbolizing the dual integration of Hangzhou's historical culture and modern technology.

The slogan of this year's Asian Para Games, "Hearts Meet, Dreams Shine," is engraved in Braille at the bottom of the torch.

The Hangzhou Asian Para Games is committed to showcasing the strength, determination, and passion of para athletes from across Asia. As the 100-day countdown begins, anticipation and excitement continue to build, and the world is looking forward to witnessing the remarkable performances and inspiring stories that will unfold at the Games.
