Hangzhou, a city renowned for its rich cultural heritage and dynamic innovation, is set to make history once again as it prepares to host the prestigious 2024 AIPPI World Intellectual Property Congress.

The decision to choose Hangzhou as host can be traced back to the AIPPI World Intellectual Property Congress held in Seoul, South Korea in October 2012, during which Hangzhou emerged victorious in its bid to host the 2020 Congress. However, due to COVID-19 concerns, the event was postponed until 2024.

This is the first time in over 120 years that the event will take place in China.

Hangzhou's dedication to excellence and its commitment to promoting intellectual property rights make it a fitting choice to host the international gathering. The city's thriving tech industry, burgeoning innovation hubs, and profound respect for IPR have earned it the reputation of being a hub for cutting-edge ideas and creativity.

As the countdown begins to the 2024 congress, Hangzhou anticipates the opportunity to showcase its unique blend of tradition and modernity to the global IP community. Attendees can look forward to a meticulously-planned and thoughtfully-curated event that will provide a platform for meaningful discussions, insightful presentations, and productive networking opportunities.
