An artistic display adorned the streets of Hangzhou at the intersection of Qingchun Road and West Ring Road on July 21, local media outlets reported.

The eye-catching display was composed of elements representing three World Heritage Sites, namely West Lake, the Hangzhou section of the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal, and the Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City, along with the symbol of the Asian Games torch.

Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, is renowned for its rich cultural heritage and picturesque landscapes. As a city steeped in history, it boasts several UNESCO World Heritage Sites that have garnered international recognition.

The West Lake scenic area showcases the harmonious blend of natural and man-made beauty, capturing the essence of traditional Chinese garden design and enchanting visitors for centuries.

The Hangzhou section of the Grand Canal is an ancient waterway that stretches thousands of kilometers, connecting Beijing in the north to Hangzhou in the south. It played a crucial role in facilitating trade and cultural exchange between different regions during ancient times.

The Archaeological Ruins of Liangzhu City offer invaluable insights into the Neolithic culture of the Yangtze River Delta, dating back over 5,300 years. The discovery of Liangzhu culture has contributed significantly to the understanding of China's prehistoric past.

Beyond the three World Heritage Sites, the display is further embellished with the Asian Games torch, symbolizing the city's excitement and pride in hosting such a prestigious international event.
