Raja Randhir Singh, acting president of the Olympic Council of Asia, arrived at Hangzhou International Airport in Xiaoshan district on Sept 19.

He is set to attend the opening ceremony of the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou and deliver a speech. During his stay, he will also represent the OCA at various related events.

The Asian Games, held every four years, is the largest multisport event in Asia and is hosted by the OCA. Currently, the national Olympic committees of 45 countries and regions under the OCA have registered to participate in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, with over 12,000 athletes, the most in the event's history.

The OCA has held its first press conference for the Hangzhou Asian Games at the Main Media Center a day earlier, where details and participation methods for the first-ever OCA Athletes' Commission election were announced. The Athletes' Commission will consist of 10 athlete representatives, to be chosen by over 12,000 athletes participating in this year's Games, empowering the future of Asian athletes.
