Hong Kong delegation returns triumphantly from Hangzhou Asian Games

The Hong Kong delegation, which participated in the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, returned to a warm welcome at Hong Kong International Airport on the evening of Oct 9, local media outlets reported.
The Hong Kong delegation gave an outstanding performance at this year's Games, securing a total of 53 medals, including eight gold, 16 silver, and 29 bronze. The medal count, as well as a number of achievements across various sporting events, broke records.
Kenneth Fok, head of the delegation, expressed pride in the team's accomplishments. He emphasized that the delegation's success was especially notable as they excelled in several new sports, and many promising talents emerged during the Games.
Fok praised the dedication and determination of Hong Kong athletes and expressed confidence that the Hong Kong delegation would continue to achieve remarkable results at the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics.
