The seventh National Disabled Persons' Stamp Exhibition opened in Hangzhou on Oct 22 in celebration of the opening of the Hangzhou Asian Para Games.

The opening ceremony saw nearly 200 participants, including stamp enthusiasts with disabilities from across the country, representatives from Zhejiang Special Education College, and other supportive individuals.

The exhibition is set to showcase 256 frames and 4,096 pieces of internationally-recognized stamps depicting a wide array of sports, causes for the disabled, and scientific and cultural knowledge.

The exhibition will run until Oct 29, one day after the closing of the Hangzhou Asian Para Games.

The event is intended to inspire more disabled stamp enthusiasts to tell the stories of disabled individuals' resilience and determination and bolster the confidence of disabled people to integrate into society and create a brighter life for themselves.

Stamp collecting, much like sports, art and performance activities for the disabled, is an integral part of the cultural and recreational life of disabled individuals. The exhibition is the fourth of its kind to be held in Hangzhou since its inauguration in 1994.
