The 2023 Hangzhou International Human Resources Exchange and Cooperation Conference will kick off on Nov 12. Since its inception in 2009, the event has been held 14 times.

This year's conference will highlight five key aspects:

First, it will focus on talent and technological innovation. It will organize various academic exchanges and matchmaking events for overseas talent and experts.

Second, it will contribute to promoting common prosperity by opening discussions around the role of talent in narrowing the urban-rural gap, regional disparities, and facilitating high-quality development at the county level.

Third, it will advance innovative reform and opening-up by inviting high-caliber overseas talent and placing greater emphasis on international communication methods.

Fourth, it will carry forward Chinese civilization. By promoting the "West Lake Dialogue" and the city's historical heritage, the conference aims to foster international exchanges of culture and technology.

Fifth, it will attract and gather young talent. The conference will improve the methods of attracting overseas talent and optimize talent branding series, in order to attract more young talent to come to Hangzhou and start businesses in the city.

During the conference, districts, counties, research institutions, and technology innovation platforms will also organize more than 50 activities, including international academic exchanges, competitions, and research visits, focusing on distinctive industries.
