Asian Games contemporary arts and crafts exhibition opens in Hangzhou

The "Rhythm of New Trends – The Gateway of Crafts from the Asian Games to Daily Life" Arts and Crafts Exhibition debuted in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on Dec 14.

Through eight exhibition units, the showcase featured nearly 200 pieces of Zhejiang arts and crafts, integrating into the ceremonial scenes of the Hangzhou Asian Games and connecting with everyday life.

The event invited 35 artists, including 10 Chinese arts and crafts masters, to exhibit their works, providing a concentrated reflection of the artistic prowess of Chinese arts and crafts.

The exhibits represent the highest craft standards in categories such as Dongyang wood carving, Longquan celadon, bronze casting, Ou embroidery, and Hangzhou folding fans. The exhibition is set to run until January 14, 2024, offering a rich exploration of the intersection between the Asian Games and the exquisite craftsmanship of Zhejiang.
