Chun'an county officials bring mountain products to urban markets

As 2024 gets underway, officials from the 23 towns in Chun'an county recently arrived in downtown Hangzhou, bringing their distinctive agricultural products and igniting a craze for Chun'an local goods in the city.

For three consecutive weekends, they operated stalls at the Hangzhou Canal Plaza, West Lake Cultural Plaza, and Xitiancheng Shopping Center, showcasing over 100 high-quality kinds of produce from Qiandao Lake.

Statistics show that the events generated over 5 million yuan ($695,485) in sales, allowing local residents to experience a mountainous feast right at their doorstep and enabling Chun'an to transform is ecological advantages into tangible benefits.

"The events are not just about selling goods, but about finding a way out for the branded produce of Chun'an, ensuring continuous orders for agricultural bases and tapping into the potential of agriculture and tourism," said Cheng Jun, director of the Chun'an county agriculture and rural affairs bureau.

In recent years, Chun'an has leveraged its resources and made continuous efforts to cultivate agricultural leaders, develop industrial clusters, and establish smooth production and marketing channels.

Last year, Chun'an's organic fish, Qiandao Lake tea, and raspberries were included on the list of Local Specialties in Zhejiang Province. Sales of "Qiandao Agricultural Products" exceeded 300 million yuan, boosting farmers' incomes throughout the year.
