Recent bouts of freezing rain and consecutive low temperatures have bestowed a peculiar sight upon Hangzhou's Wangcheng Pavilion, nestled within the Banshan National Forest Park – a phenomenon dubbed "Frozen Plum Blossoms".

Local news outlets reported on Feb 26 that when observed atop Wangcheng Pavilion, two plum blossom trees at the summit were encased in ice, their buds and petals glistening like crystal, creating a unique aesthetic.

People eager to witness this beauty firsthand should hurry, as on-site observations reveal the gradual melting of the ice formations. According to the Zhejiang meteorological department, temperatures in the province are forecasted to incrementally rise starting on Feb 27, with Hangzhou's temperatures following suit.
