Esports Popularity: Global Esports company optimistic about China market

Esports, or competitive video gaming, is now one of the important means of entertainment and communication for the global youth. Since it made its debut as a medal sport at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, overseas Esports companies are paying more and more attention to China, the largest Esports market in the world. The "2023 China Esports Industry Report" shows the actual revenue of China's Esports industry was more than 26 billion yuan in 2023, or almost 3.7 billion U.S. dollars. China's Esports user base in 2023 was nearly 490 million. International Esports company Electronic Arts is now holding the first "EA Sports FC Pro Mobile challenge" in Shanghai, aiming to promote cultural exchanges and boost the Esports industry.
