Hangzhou ranked second on the 2023 list of the Top 10 Cities for Tourist Satisfaction, which was released by the China Tourism Academy on April 21. It ranked just behind Suzhou.

This marks the 15th year in a row that Hangzhou has ranked among the top 10 cities for tourist satisfaction nationwide.

Behind this 15-year streak of top rankings lies Hangzhou's dedication to high-quality tourism development.

In the past year alone, Hangzhou welcomed over 1 billion domestic and foreign tourists, generating a total tourism revenue of 180 billion yuan ($24.8 billion), a year-on-year increase of around 20 percent.

Brand activities such as the Fortunate Song Dynasty-style Year in Hangzhou, Hangzhou Amazing Night, and Outdoor Leisure Tourism Festival have revitalized the cultural and tourism consumption market, bringing vibrancy to the city, with the charm and clout of the Asian Games still lingering.
