A new town featuring industrial internet was unveiled at the 2019 China Industry Internet Conference in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, on Aug 14.

Located in Yuhang district, the 780,000-square-meter town aims to build an industrial internet cluster in the Yangtze River Delta region gathering with service providers in 5G technology, information software, industrial applications, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data,and internet of things.

The town is designed to build a sound industrial internet ecosystem with leading edges in innovative applications and consulting services, said a local official.

The construction is expected to attract 45 service providers and cultivate eight industrial internet platforms within three years, aiming to facilitate digital transformations of enterprises in Yuhang district.

Zhang Zhenfeng, Party secretary of Yuhang district, said that industrial internet, as the product of the integration of the manufacturing industry and the internet, has become the cornerstone of the new industrial revolution and intelligent manufacturing.

The first 20 members of technological companies and innovative platforms have already set up operations in the town, including the innovation center of supET Industrial Internet Platform of Alibaba Cloud.
