Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, plans to extend its subway operation hours during two periods, from Jan 29 to Feb 10 and from Feb 26 to March 8, to deal with the upcoming Spring Festival travel rush, which starts from Jan 28.

The last train of all subway lines in Hangzhou will depart at 11:00 pm, half an hour later than usual, during the two aforementioned periods.

More trains will be put into operation during the Spring Festival travel period, said the Hangzhou transportation authorities.
