Tungamirai Eric Mupona, an overseas student from Zimbabwe studying in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang, said watching the opening of the 20th CPC National Congress has enabled him to better understand China's historical achievements and status quo.

"It can be seen from the report that China has been so patient with its historical goals, putting them into practice. Its future goals and targets are also very clear," Mupona said.

He added that what impressed him most was China's persistence in the continuous improvement of theories and adaptation of incremental self-reforms in an effort to benefit the people, who are completely involved in the whole process of the country's governance and development.

"As a young African, in this report I also paid more attention to some details of China's participation in global affairs and interaction with the world," Mupona said. "The report clearly explained how China is committed to promoting inclusive social and economic development at the local, national and global levels and promoting the formation of a new type of international relations."
