A military castle in the Spring and Autumn Period, it was where Fan Li, a statesman and strategist, assisted King Gou in gathering troops against the Kingdom of Wu. Legend has it that Fan Li assigned Xi Shi, the most famous and beautiful woman in Chinese history, to work undercover by the side of the king of Wu. After the kingdom’s destruction, Fan took her away to live in seclusion forever. This is a picture of Gou Jian Temple in Relics Park, where the king and Fan Li are worshipped.
