Located at Dongxin Avenue No 80 in Binjiang district, the school was founded by Shanghai Community International School in 2002. It was the first one in Hangzhou designated for children of foreign personnel. It was designed to provide 15-year education from kindergarten to senior high school (International Baccalaureate syllabus) for 500 students. As of now, it has 583 students from 46 countries, the largest number among international schools in Hangzhou, who study in 42 classes under 101 teaching and administrative staff.
