Animals celebrate Winter Solstice with customized dumplings

Eating dumplings on Winter Solstice, the 22nd solar term of the year that began on Dec 21 this year, is a tradition amongst Chinese people.
Animals at Hangzhou Safari Park in East China's Zhejiang province also observed the tradition and was served different customized recipes to celebrate the festival.
Lemurs flock to their customized dumplings, stretching forward their body, holding their tails high, as they enjoy dumplings filled with fruit, carrots, and steamed corn bread. [Photo/hangzhou.com.cn]
Golden monkeys are unfamiliar with their special dumpling dish, as it is their first time to eat dumplings with apples and steamed corn bread. The breeders have to feed the animals on their own. [Photo/hangzhou.com.cn]
