The brand new double-decker buses are now back to business in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on March 12, with bus line 520 departing from Huanbeixincun station at 9:30 am.
Double-decker buses were first introduced to Hangzhou in the 1980s and have become one of the favorite ways to tour around the city for both locals and tourists.
On Aug 8, 2020, the city's double-decker buses were retired and a growing number of residents were calling for their return.
The upgrades, including soft leather seats, safety belts, and skylights, met people's expectations and over 200 "fans" participated in the first run on March 12.
