Certain passengers arriving in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province by train or airplane will no longer need to undergo nucleic acid tests before their trips, local media outlets reported.
The new regulation applies only to those who are not arriving from medium- and high-risk areas. Those departing Hangzhou for medium- and high-risk areas should check if their destinations require them to test negative before travel.
The new regulation has already been put into effect at Hangzhou International Airport, Hangzhou Railway Station, Hangzhou East and Hangzhou South railway stations, and the Fuyang, Tonglu, Jiande, and Qiandaohu stations along the Huangzhou-Huangshan high-speed railway.
Travelers should look up the State Council mini-program embedded within WeChat for the latest epidemic prevention and control policies for different cities.
Regular epidemic prevention and control measures such as temperature measurement, display of health QR codes and travel records, wearing of face masks, and social distancing must still be taken.
