Xihu (West Lake) district

Covering 312 square kilometers, Xihu district administers 10 sub-districts, two towns and 195 villages (communities).
Located in the western corner of the old urban area of Hangzhou, the district is home to popular tourist sites such as West Lake, Xixi Wetland Park, Xiling Seal Art Society, as well as old campuses of the prestigious Zhejiang University and China Academy of Art. It's also the birthplace of Longjing tea, or Dragon Well tea.
In 2020, the district realized a regional GDP of 158.76 billion yuan ($24.40 billion), up 7.2 percent year-on-year.
