Westlake University starts undergraduate enrollment

Westlake University in Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, recently received approval from the Ministry of Education to begin its undergraduate programs this year.
The approval means that the university, which used to offer only doctoral degree programs, can now conduct bachelor's courses.
Senior high school students have to score an A for at least eight subjects to qualify for admission.
Students who are admitted into the university will receive general education in their first two years before they get to choose majors such as biological sciences, physics, chemical sciences, electronic information engineering, material sciences and engineering in the third year.
According to Westlake University, it has employed more than 180 top academicians from across the globe to be tutors for the newly-designed undergraduate program.
