The love-themed Peach Blossom Lake Park, the largest water landscape park in northern Hangzhou, opened on May 20, a date that sounds like "I love you" in Mandarin.
Featuring Song Dynasty (960-1279) style architecture, the park took four years to build and has more than 1,000 peach trees, which symbolize romance in China.
Local authorities expect the park to become a popular destination for the 200,000 residents living nearby.

The opening of the park marks the completion of the first phase of construction. The remaining sections are expected to open by the end of this year.
The second-phase project will include a love-themed commercial street, a marriage registration office, and facilities for wedding photography and ceremonies.
