Zhejiang soccer association assists Xinjiang youngsters

The Zhejiang Soccer Association recently donated 20,000 yuan ($2,982) worth of soccer equipment to the Aksu College of Education in Aksu, Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region.
Liu Baicang, vice-president of the college, said that the donation will be of great help to local students and the development of the sport.

Last June, the Zhejiang Soccer Association partnered with the education bureau of Aksu to initiate a program which enhances exchanges between teenagers in Xinjiang and Zhejiang through soccer.
Over the past year, activities such as soccer competitions and training camps have been held.
A representative of the Zhejiang Soccer Association said they would offer more help to involve local teenagers in the sport.
