Zhu Jun is the chief of the operator team of East River water gate. He has been working near Bazi Bridge, ever since the water gate was built. In the legends, one of the dragon's son, Gongfu, was sent down to watch over the Canal for 1000 years. People carved stone statues in its likeness and placed in the Canal to commemorate the merits of protecting it. It symbolizes the safety of this region. Zhu Jun is like the Gongfu under Bazi Bridge, witnessing the building of water gate, witnessing the river flows year by year.
