A brain-computer intelligence innovation center co-founded by the Xihu district government and Zhejiang University, opened to the public on July 27, local media outlets reported.
The industrial park where the center is located is also the first brain-computer intelligence industrial park in China.
The center aims to complement Xihu district and Zhejiang University's respective strenths and explore a new development path for the marketization of industry, education and research.
The domestic biotech industry, led by high-caliber brain-computer professionals from Zhejiang University, is expected to undergo integrated development at the center and provide intellectual support for the Hangzhou West Science and Innovation Corridor in the future.
The development of brain-computer technology is widely expected to bring new diagnosis and treatment methods to patients with conditions difficult to treat with existing medical technology and provide new possibilities for improving the quality of patients' lives.
