Qiantang district is known as the place where the sun first rises every day in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province. It is dedicated to improving its urban quality and developing into a livable, charming, and intelligent district.
Since Hangzhou won the bid to host the 19th Asian Games, Qiantang district has been making full preparations for the event.
"You will find many places in Qiantang district exhibiting elements of the Games," said Li Peng, director of the publicity department of Qiantang. "Anticipation for the event is also growing, with local residents expressing their excitement in their own ways."
In this episode, we will follow two foreigners – Ben from the United States and Hade from Yemen – to experience the atmosphere in Qiantang amid preparations for the Asian Games.
Ben has been living in Hangzhou for over three years and will get married to a local woman this winter. Hade, who is now a student of Zhejiang Gongshang University, has been in China for seven years and Qiantang district for four years.
