The Jinsha Lake City New Area in Qiantang district, Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, stretching from the bank of the Qiantang River to the shore of Jinsha Lake, passed provincial examination last month.

Known as the "Eye of the City" in east Hangzhou, Jinsha Lake City New Area is located in the center of Xiasha sub-district, covering an area of about 6 square kilometers and home to a resident population of about 114,000 people.

Diverse public facilities have been set up in the area, including 11 health management centers, 15 elderly service stations, 20 lifelong education platforms, and 100 sports facilities.

Jinsha Lake Park, the highlight of the area, was included in Zhejiang province's high-quality comprehensive park program in 2019, and has been upgraded to a versatile urban park containing a golden beach, culture and art square, fountain square, and cruise pier.

The 3-km greenway around Jinsha Lake provides a peaceful experience and brings nature to the doorstep of commercial offices, entertainment spaces, and cultural zones.

The Jinsha Lake Grand Theater, designed by China's eminent architect Cheng Taining is dense, intelligent and low-carbon, maximizing the efficiency of energy and building performance. It is a comprehensive art center integrating cultural exchange, exhibitions, artistic creation and leisure activities.
