Sport and fitness enthusiasts in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, can access information on sport venues, route navigation, and sport field booking through an app.

The online service also allows people to pay rent, register for competitions and training programs, and download certificates for sport events with a few clicks of the finger.

A total of 224 sports venues, including 41 for the Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 involving 38 sports, have opened services on the online platform and have received 450,000 orders and 6.15 million visits since the platform's launch.

The city's sports bureau is speeding up reform of digitization to enhance the management of venues. Meanwhile, it is considering hosting online mass sporting events to improve the utilization of public sports facilities.

Early in 2018, Hangzhou began building itself into China's first digital economy city, and it has developed some benchmark projects for digital sports reforms.
