Over 2,000 people from various districts, counties and industries gathered at the Hangzhou Olympic Sports Center Tennis Center on March 7 to show how well-prepared they are for the upcoming sporting event, local media outlets reported.
The day marked the 200-day countdown to the Hangzhou Asian Games, which will take place from Sept 23 to Oct 8.
A variety of activities under the banner " Love Hangzhou, Contribute to the Asian Games" were held during the event, including an oath-taking ceremony which gathered venue operation teams, urban managers, athletes, people with disabilities, grass-roots public servants, and foreigners.
Liu Jie, Party secretary of Hangzhou, said the Asian Games is a rare opportunity for Hangzhou to showcase its charm and strength to the world.
"We must shoulder responsibilities and strive to present the world a safe, classy, and brilliant Games." Liu said.
