123-year-old Zhejiang Library to open new branch in Hangzhou

The newly-completed Zhijiang branch of Zhejiang Library in Xihu district, Hangzhou is about to open to the public, local media outlets reported.
The branch, covering a total area of approximately 85,000 square meters, will be the main venue of the Zhejiang Library and serve as an important knowledge and information hub as well as regional library network center in Zhejiang province.
The Zhejiang Library was one of the first provincial public libraries set up in China and has been developing and expanding for 123 years. It currently has four locations, including the Gushan Branch, Daxue Road Branch and Shuguang Road Branch in Hangzhou and the Jiaye Collection Building in Nanxun, Huzhou.
