A cultural experience activity in Hangzhou, the host city of the upcoming 19th Asian Games, took place on April 18, local media outlets reported.
Hangzhou natives as well as foreigners from the United Kingdom, Syria, Russia, Poland and Iran participated in the activity.
The delegation started their day at Deshou Palace, or the Southern Song Museum, where they learned about the history of the palace and its exquisite architecture.
They also visited Xiling Seal Art Society, a Hangzhou-based academic organization devoted to the art of seal carving which has been standing modestly beside West Lake for over 100 years.
At the society, the delegation got a panoramic view of West Lake and also tried their hands at rubbing, the oldest printing technique in China.
They ended their day at the Huanglong Sports Center, a newly-renovated sporting complex which will host the football finals, gymnastics and water polo events during the Asian Games and field and track events during the Asian Para Games.
"The Huanglong Sports Center is so cool! In particular, the undulating air track allows people to exercise, enjoy the scenery, and check detailed data related to their movements and physical exertion on digital screens," said Adam from Ireland.
"Hangzhou's rapid development in recent years has exceeded my expectations. I can't wait to see the Asian Games," he added.
